Love Is In The Air
with Harmony Butcher
In the lead up to Valentine's Day, we discuss love, what it means and how it is evolving for muse and mother-to-be, Harmony Butcher.
I would define love as my "safe place". It's people, places and things that make me feel supported, trusted, and accepted. Love to me is consistent through all seasons (good & bad) and works hard at preserving joy. It's selfless and kind. To me, love feels like home.
Valentine's day feels different for me this year. It's always been about celebrating the unique love I share with my husband, Nat. However, this year is very special as we celebrate the love that we share together for our growing son. I am also celebrating the love and appreciation I have for my body and all it's doing to be a home to our son whilst he grows.
These Saint Valentine pieces are special to me as they are simple yet beautiful, reminding me that love doesn't need to be extravagant to be meaningful. They have been the perfect physical reminder that I deserve to feel loved and I am free to give love. Every time I look at the pieces I am reminded of how loved I feel by my husband and the love that is growing deeper & deeper for our son.
One thing I'm most excited about being a mother is being his "safe place" as he grows and learning even more about unconditional love. I'm excited for the everyday, ordinary moments because I believe that's where the most beauty can be found. I can't wait to create new memories with my growing little family.
