Gemma Dimond (née Watts) Wedding

What were some of the stand out special moments from your wedding?

My husband and I have the same top three moments - seeing each other for the first time before I walked down the aisle (I would give anything to bottle that feeling), sharing our vows, and having time with just the two of us between the ceremony and reception. The entire day was perfect - we would not change one single thing.

And any special moments with your bridesmaids?

Spending the night with the girls before the wedding, and getting ready together with my beautiful mum, was the best. I could not have gone into the day in a better mood, and that is absolutely a reflection of the company I kept. It just felt like a party!

As a beauty expert, how did you prep your skin leading up to the wedding? Do you have any tips for a bride-to-be?

What I did, and what I suggest everyone else does, is do not try any new products for a good month or so out from the big day. A large part of my job is trialling and reviewing new products, so this was a rule that definitely altered my capacity to work, but in all honesty it was worth it because I didn't have any scary or unexpected skin reactions on my hens day or the wedding.

Did your bridesmaids give you any advice that was particularly helpful or meaningful?

Each of my bridesmaids gave me a handwritten letter on my wedding morning, and they were all so, so beautiful. I'll keep them forever. The overarching piece of advice was to just enjoy - and enjoy I most certainly did!
