Artist and creative Gracie Ritchie @gracieritchiee shares her creative world, styling and sketches inspired by the Verso Collection.
Can you tell us about your creative world?
Visually, my art practice has evolved over time. I bounce between painting, drawing, sketching and digital art depending on the work and what I’m inspired by at the time.
I’ve always loved fashion and clothing, that’s been a constant throughout my life. More recently, being able to travel and experience places so rich in artistic history has expanded my creative world, given me new inspiration, and allowed me to share a fresh perspective through my work.
The Verso collection is designed to elevate everyday styling. How would you style your favourite pieces?
Firstly, the Verso Collection is gorgeous. I already own a few Saint Valentine pieces, and they’ve become staples in my jewellery collection.
My favourite piece from the collection is the Verso Choker, I’m obsessed. It has this effortless, natural boldness to it. The whole collection does, but the necklace feels like one of those pieces I’ll reach for again and again.
I love jewellery that works with every outfit. I can picture wearing it with a beautiful maxi skirt, a low-scoop white flowing top and high boots, layered with the Verso bracelets. Or for a night out, with a fitted black dress, black eyeshadow, a slicked-back hairstyle... and the Verso Choker. Done.
Jewellery can be very personal and sentimental. What does jewellery represent to you?
I love jewellery as a way of marking milestones. I think it’s because you buy a piece with the expectation that it will stay with you forever. To me, jewellery isn’t just an accessory, it becomes part of your story. I hope to pass many of my pieces down to my future children, especially pieces like those in the new Verso Collection.
Your work celebrates individuality and self-expression. What advice would you give someone pursuing creative work?
Back yourself. Speak kindly to yourself. Comparison really is the thief of joy, especially when we’re constantly exposed to what everyone else is doing.
My biggest piece of advice? Create for yourself. There is room for everyone. Keep showing up, keep doing the work, and let your passion be the thing that gets you noticed.
