Mum Bracelet
BEHIND THE DESIGN
Saint Valentine founder and designer, Georgia, talks us through the inspiration behind our Mum Bracelet.
This is a special piece for the brand that I designed to commemorate the birth of my first child born at the start of the year and my first Mother’s Day.
We created bold curvy ‘M’ and ‘U’ shaped letters linked by hand for a flexible finish to subtly spell ‘mum’ in its continuous pattern.
The shape of the letters was inspired by the flowing sinuous design of the Philippe Malouin DS707 Sofa.
I wanted the piece to be modern and suitable for everyday wear with a hidden message that would make for a thoughtful gift.
The mum bracelet was created to honour mothers and maternal figures of all ages, and intended to be cherished for years to come.
